Can someone please explain to me why so many people of the female gender feel the need to yack in the bathroom?
I go in there for 2, maybe 3 reasons – and having a conversation ain't one of them.
Don't even get me started on people who carry on phone conversations whilst occupied in the bathroom.
And don’t forget that other thing, going to the toilet in pairs.
I mean, what IS that?
I know!!! Drives me buggy.
Whenever there’s someone in the next stall carrying on a cell phone conversation, I start flushing. Repeatedly. MWHAHAHA!
heh – I should do that next time.
That’s one great thing about guys. I quick “yo” (or similar) and a head nod is all etiquette allows.
You’d think that was true. I came back into the QA lab muttering about stupid women yakking in the bathroom, and voiced a general complaint to the room – there’s 6 of us: 5 guys, and me.
Apparently “backslapping” and involved work discussions are commonplace. The guys were as annoyed as I was. :)
I hear ya, sister!
Where I work, it is common place to hear some of them having phone conversations in the bathroom. Word to the wise on the toilet flushing, make sure that they are truly having a conversation before doing that. You want to make sure the other party/parties can hear! LOL
My manager actually thought I needed to take my two-way pager in there. I explained to her that the bathroom is a sacred place and those devices violate my right to privacy. :-)
I, too, think that this is carrying “multi-tasking” a bit too far. My philosophy? Go in there, do what you need to do, and get out!
