Winter comforts: Sitting on the couch, wrapped up in a blanket, sipping hot chocolate. Warmfuzzysocks. Hot soup and crackers.
Austin doesn’t really get that cold, and winters are never winter although we do get “snow” every few years:
Sometimes I miss Vancouver, Washington. I used to like the rain, and the green is so beautiful. It didn’t snow often there, either…
But snow was close, if you needed it:

I know what you mean about missing weather. When I lived in Australia I missed British weather (I know and all I do is complain about it when I’m here). Oddly I missed those grey drizzly days that you don’t get anywhere but the UK. Island weather….
Funny thing about that question is the cold and the dark are the two things that comfort me most.
