Good fun, well drawn characters.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>068. <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/0765341298\/robandjenspla-20\">\tRachel &#038; Leah<\/a> &#8211; Card, Orson Scott<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Say what you will about the man, but Card writes really good novels.  His religious fiction is not preachy at all, and brings the old tales to life.  I&apos;m not religious at all, and enjoyed his &#8220;Women of Genesis&#8221; series immensely.  For Christmas, I gave a copy of all three to my mother-in-law (who is a religious person) and she loved them as well.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>069. <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/0060987103\/robandjenspla-20\">\tWicked: The Life &#038; Times of the Wicked Witch of the West<\/a> &#8211; Maguire, Gregory<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>What a fun book!  This was a <i>wonderful<\/i> twist on an old classic.  I think I&apos;m going to try some of his other books as well.  Of course, reading this one prompted me to read the original.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>070. <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/0812523350\/robandjenspla-20\">\tThe Wizard of Oz<\/a> &#8211; Baum, Frank L.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>After reading &#8220;Wicked&#8221;, reading the original was surreal.  Especially because I don&apos;t think I ever did read this as a child, but of course I&apos;ve seen the classic with Judy Garland a bazillion times.  It was very cool to get back to the roots of this American fairy tale.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>071. <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/0804115613\/robandjenspla-20\">\tFried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe<\/a> &#8211; Flagg, Fannie<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I saw the movie ages ago, and enjoyed it.  Reading the book was even better.
