It&apos;s been&#8230; how long now?  Last Thanksgiving, I think. (Edit: <lj user=\"sqlrob\"> informs me that it was the TDay <i>before<\/i> last TDay.  Wow.  Hermit much?)  Anyway, today we&apos;re having a former co-worker and a friend of his over for hot food (it&apos;s chili season!) (as in chili peppers) and cool games.  We dug out the extra game controllers and charged up the game boy yesterday.  ;)<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday was spent cleaning the downstairs.  I&apos;m declaring the upstairs as completely off limits.  But downstairs doesn&apos;t look <em>too<\/em> bad.  I want to run the vacuum cleaner one more time, put away the last of the dishes, and scoop the cat boxes.  Someone tell me again why I had to get a dog that blows his coat several times a year?  I swear I vacuumed up enough pet hair to make a whole &apos;nuther dog.<\/p>\n<p>They&apos;re coming over around 10, and then  to the <a href=&apos;http:\/\/www.sunsetvalleyfarmersmarket.org\/&apos;>Farmer&apos;s Market<\/a> to pick up Good Things To Eat.  After that, a quick stop at <a href=&apos;http:\/\/www.centralmarket.com\/&apos;>Central Market<\/a> to finish up any snack or drink needs &#8211; then home to a day of gaming and overloading mouth pain receptors.<\/p>\n<p>Well, best get to it then!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today we&apos;re actually going to have guests over at our house.
