First we snagged Shaggy. Then Thelma. Soon after Fred fell into our clutches. Alas, try as we might we were unable to get Daphne. <lj user="sqlrob"> remembered that a squishy version of the Mystery Machine could be had for a couple hundred tickets, so we snagged that on the way out. Since we already had a plush Scooby at home (I won him for Rob a couple of years ago at D&B) we had almost a complete set.

As luck would have it, a couple of days later, Rob's work took them to D&B and gave them charged cards. He still had some credits left on the card, so we went back to D&B with the sole objective of snagging Daphne from the claw machine. It took several tries, but finally Daphne was caught. The claw moved slowly towards the chute and we held our breath, certain that she would fall too soon. The claw opened… and Daphne just hung there. Caught, it seemed, by the tag on her leg. Laughing, we called an attendent over to open the machine and give us our hard-won prize. It seems that just as in the cartoons, Daphne needs to be rescued in real life as well.

Oh, and if you haven't seen it, Scooby Doo (the first one, haven't seen the second one yet) is actually a really good movie.

Item the sixth: If I Were <strike>King</strike>Queen – you should be afraid.
