Well, I've got a WordPress blog installed and working more or less, and I've got Gallery up and running… mostly.
Now what?

I think you will like Word Press. I know, in the few days I’ve been tinkering around with it, I’ve enjoyed it very much. No spell checking though. Not yet, anyway. It’s supposed to be in the next upgrade according to the official support site.
So far so good, anyway. :)
What’s the dohickey thing you use that does the “Originally published at Piper’s Home Port. You can comment here or there.” bit?
There are at least two, but the link below leads to the one I’m using. I went with the recommendation of my on-line friends who also use WP. http://ebroder.net/livejournal-crossposter/
Good luck. It took some getting use to for me, because I use Semagic in plain text (not rich text) to post to LJ and WP uses rich text. Besides that minor adjustment I’ve had no problems with that cross poster.
I think you can turn the rich text whatsit off. I seem to recall seeing that somewhere – I’ll have to look for it again.
LOL – this is from the LJXP site:
I created this because I couldn’t figure out how Live+Press was supposed to work, and I wanted something simpler anyway.
That’s encouraging.
::: rolls up sleeves ::: Now let’s see if it works. :)
Spell checking? Why do you need spell checking when it’s built into the browser ;)
[bronx accent] Oh yeah … I gotcher spell checker right here pal! [/bronx]
[seriously] Firefox has a spell check but I’ve always had trouble keeping the blasted thing working. Every time I get it to work the next upgrade always breaks it again.

Cool, thank you! The one I downloaded didn’t work. Hopefully this one won’t cause me grief. LOL :)
