So my paid LiveJournal account expires in three days. What with the SixApart changes and all, and having my neatokeen wordpress blog that's more or less completely under my control, I'm really starting to wonder if a paid account is worth it. I don't use voice posts. Polls are cool, but I think I could rig them up on my site, if I wanted to. The livejournal forward email, though useful, is no big deal to me. In fact, I've noticed that recently (Huh, since the buy out) I've been getting spam email directly to the livejournal email address. Cutting down to 15 userpics was painful – but I can probably live with it. I don't super customize my journal, and the style I use is available to free users anyway. Now that I've got the Palm T|X I could make posts from it, though I rarely feel the need. Sponsored users can do that too. I don't need scrapbook, and sponsored users get a gigs worth anyway. Plus, I use Firefox. Adblock plus with Filterset.G is your friend. :)
So yah. I'm done being a paid user. Aside from polls and user pics, the other accounts are more than sufficient for me. I was > . < this close to getting a permanent account the last time they were offered. I'm really glad I didn't.
