Scanner Tag!

Tagged by

I'm told that you must write something — anything — and send to five people or you will die of boredom.

Well, this was an.. interesting meme. First time I've tried to hook up the scanner on my PowerBook, and apparently the first time I've tried to edit a picture! Neither one of which worked properly. Bah.

Gaz detected the scanner fine; at least, it showed up properly in system profiler. However, it no worky at all. The scanner never even tried to light up, even when I pushed the “scan” button on the scanner itself. As for Gaz – image capture refused to believe there was a device attached.

So I cheated – I used the digital camera. :)

And that's when I realized I hadn't played with any images since I got this thing!!! Graphic converter is a little stinky, at least for this purpose. I don't know about iPhoto – near as I can tell, it works on the originals – I didn't find any place to save the results separately. I sure don't want my originals messed with!

So it looks like I'm either going to have to learn more about iPhoto (well, I should anyway) or I need to install (and learn to use, dammit) Gimp.

Ah well. The image is up, and sorta readable. I hope.

PS – The above image is PROOF as to why I take 98% of all notes in notepad or somesuch equivalent. Sheesh.
