Insulted (or perhaps merely amused) by the way some Americans have turned against french fries to express their displeasure with France's anti-war position, a French website is urging people to send pretzels to President Bush. The gesture is tinged with humor, recalling as it does that Bush fainted after gagging on a pretzel last year. If America is going to duel with France, food would be a poor weapon of choice. The Yanks will lose that one every time.
