    LJ/Firefox war SOLVED

Thanks to 's reader we know that Firefox extension AdBlock is causing the Firefox kablooie livejournal pages. The CSS LJ serves up for ALL users is getting caught by adblock. Most likely because of “ad_base.css” in the code. Anyhoo, if you're using adblock (and WHY aren't you?!?) just whitelist this: http://stat.livejournal.com/??lj_base.css,xc/basic.css,xc/menu-normal.css,xc/normal-fonts.css,ad_base.css,xc/extended.css?v=1154390211 Problem solved… until they jack w/ the css again. EDIT!!!! Actually, just whitelist http://stat.livejournal.com/ – that will work much better.

    Truth. Propaganda.

Read this link. It's all I would want to say about 9/11 if, you know, I wrote good and all. I'll be skipping the movies and as much of the hype as possible.

    Bah – LJ troubles

I'm seriously thinking of letting my paid account lapse. If I'm using WordPress, with the fake crossposter, why not? And if they can't keep CSS working properly, why am I paying for this?? Yes, my style/user info page (and even http://www.livejournal.com) is screwed up again in Firefox. It's fine in Safari. Hmm. About the only thing that I might miss is being able to do polls, especially over in . Hmm. Must think about this. So. For a taste of irony, lets do a poll!

    School Daze

After three years of planning, the Microsoft Corp.-designed “School of the Future” opened its doors Thursday, a gleaming white modern facility looking out of place amid rows of ramshackle homes in a working-class West Philadelphia neighborhood. Hm. Think I need to read Jennifer Government again. :) When I was in grade school, I went to one of the new-fangled “open concept” schools. Sliding walls, supplies carried from class to class in “tote trays”, a sunken media center in the middle of the building, open on all sides. It was a pretty good school, I guess. Opened in the fall of…

    Purple Haze

I forgot to mention the other day that I colored my hair again. This time, I used Loreal's ColorPulse (on 's recommendation, I might add) and wow is it pink. The name of it is “Chilled Plum”, but after a couple of days and one wash it's looking pretty… well, pink. I like it. I might try the “whatever cherry” at some point, or maybe this one again. I'd like to do Manic Panic's purple, but the carnage in the bathroom and shower and towels and ears was bad enough with this non-permanent color. I swear, I'm half tempted to…

    WTF? (WordPress confusion)

Um… I'm pretty sure I have WordPress set up to only allow comments from registered, logged in users. If this is true, howinthehell are spam comments getting posted?? I have Akismet enabled, so they don't actually get to my blog, but still – I don't get it.

    Shiny Toys Query

My Palm Tungsten E is not holding a charge very well at all. I got it (near as I can figure – thanks LJ for remembering what I don't!) back in December '04. (I also discovered that I got my glasses in January 04 as well – sheesh. Guess I do need new glasses) But anyway – it'll cost $130 to get the battery replaced, plus I won't have it for however long it takes to get it back. This is stinky. So since I've already been saving up for a Shiny-as-yet-undetermined, maybe I should get a new PDA. What…
