Got a vet appointment tomorrow (oops, today) to learn how to give Kamir sub cutaneous fluids. The kicker is, he's so horrible at the vets that I'm taking a stand in cat to practice. Mai-Lyn has been selected as the unfortunate guinea pig, unless I can't catch her. In that case, Pandora is it. I asked the vet if the dog would work for poking practice – HE doesn't mind going to the vet. Alas, no.
Poor kitty. We'll see how the first round of sub q's go, see what the next numbers are, then figure out what to do. It's not curable, it's not reversible – it's just… manageable. For months and even years. But what with the pain he is in from his arthritis in his back legs, and now this, plus possible heart problems…. I just don't know when I should say enough.
