My demon cat – the one who bit through a thick pair of leather gloves, the one who has to be muzzled and sedated at the vet SAT STILL for his subQ fluids tonight.
He growled, but he didn't squirm. I didn't use a towel over his head. Rob wasn't holding him. He simply lay on his towel and accepted the fluids with not much fuss. It was our fifth session.
For those that don't know, subQ means that fluids are given subcutaneously – under the skin. This is done with an IV bag and a big ass needle that I would NOT want coming near MY skin. He gets 100cc's daily – takes about 5 minutes or so to flow.
I hope he continues this way.
