I swear to god that’s what my mother-in-law said to me. What’s more, she said it to me before she was my mother-in-law. Shouldn’t she have waited until we were decently married before praying for grandchildren? I mean, really.
I think I’ll bet on careful use of birth control and an upcoming snip rather than an “accident”, thanks.
She doesn’t yet realize it, but the only grandkids she’s gonna get are gonna have 4 legs and fur.
I lucked out though. She’s a really sweet woman, and both of Rob’s parents have welcomed me wholeheartedly. When I think of the harridan I could have had for a mother-in-law if I had married my AZ-ex…. <shudder>
Ah, you gave me a flashback of my wedding day.
The ceremony was just about to start.
My mother in law reached up to my husband, brushed back his hair, and said, “It’s not too late, dear. You can still change your mind.”
Yikes, she said that to him?? That’s icky. Now if she’d have said that to YOU, it would have been funny…
I just found your journal and I am THRILLED to read something I can relate to! I turn 30 in 11 days and I cannot relate to teens, ya know. I also have no children–we have two kitties! I have added you to my friends list. Have a great day!
Well, welcome then!! :) Your cats are great! Old and new Siamese. :) I wish my 3 cats got along that well…
I cruised your journal – your job sounds like a lot of fun!
See ya soon!
