The drawback, it seems, to listening to 27 different versions of Carol of the Bells in a row, is that the song will not leave your head.
Good thing I like it.
Still.

I have trouble finding it at all, much less a version of it I like. Recommendations?
Trans-Siberian Orchestra – Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24).

oooh. Must check that one.
WHOA! That one did not come up in my search, and it’s exactly the kind of version I’m looking for!!
I need a version that is simply those hand bells things that I remember from church in my childhood. They sound so cool.
d’oh! I went looking for that as an album and couldn’t find it anywhere, only to find it’s a track on an album we already have.
I’m such a techno klutz.
I’ll give more info when I get home, but right now I can say just get the entire Blenders Christmas album. My goodness but it’s fantastic.
Anyhow, I got all of ’em on iTunes – there’s over 150!
Ok, here we go. I found just about all of my versions on iTunes. :) I don’t know how to get that link that silar posted though.
Instrumental
Angel City Brass – Joy to the World
Boston Brass – Christmas Bells are Swinging
Brandon Fields – A Coffeehouse Christmas
Vocals
The Blenders – Holiday Best This whole album is awesome
Osceola High School Headliners – Sounds of the Season (no, really)
Kenny Rogers – Christmas Greetings
The American Boychoir – Carol
Also, a guy I used to know (through dfw.singles) made a fantastic arrangement – you can find it here – look for “Carol of the Bells Remix”. It’s an Impulse Tracker file; you should be able to find something to play it – if I remember right, WinAmp should be able to.
Cool. Thank you both. I’ll have to look at that. I thought silar’s TSO was the one we had, but apparently it’s a different album.
First of all, to get a link to an album in the iTunes Music Store, just browse to the album, right click (or ⌘-click) it, and “Copy iTunes Music Store URL” will appear for you to select. You can then paste the link wherever you like.
Second, this album might have what you are seeking, but I can’t seem to find anywhere online that you can preview it, so you’d be taking a chance:

Thanks for the tip and the link! That looks exactly like what I’m looking for, actually. I don’t think that getting the whole album would be a bad thing, either. Awesome.
