I learned something today. I learned that real maple syrup goes bad, even unopened.
I think it was well on its way to being some kind of alcoholic beverage. And not a good kind.
Luckily, I smelled it and tasted it before I put it on my french toast.

It does? Oh dear. Maybe I shouldn’t open that tin now. How long had you had yours? Mine must be couple of years old now.

It smelled fermenty, and tasted like ick.
Rob doesn’t like real maple syrup or real vanilla (the heathen) so I’d gotten that bottle just for me! Now I have to go get another one. This time, I’ll use it sooner. LOL
