Crockpots rock.

I'm trying a new crockpot recipe today – Chicken Chow Mein. It's out of one of our newer crockpot cook books; last week I tried the beef stroganoff recipe and it was loads better than the recipe I used to use. So, I figured it'd be worth it to try different recipes, especially since I only tend to make 2 or 3 things with the crockpot.

So. Things I need to get done today…

        drop husband off at work
        mail package to in-laws
get a few things at the grocery store for dinner
        get crockpot started
        get Pandora's food from vet
        empty dishwasher
        load/run dishwasher
        finish cleaning up kitchen
laundry. maybe put it away this time?
move video games to new cabinet
        dust out entertainment center
contemplate how to reorg the entertainment center w/ the consoles and such
        vacuum. again.
cuss at stupid dog dragging stupid mud in from stupid yard
        feed dog
        feed cats
        pick husband up at work

I love writing things down that I've already done so I can mark them off.

Anyway, I've got to get to the vet. Poor Pandora only has one can of food left. She's liable to hurt me if I don't have food for her. ;)

  1. I’m one of those list makers too, and if you put all sorts of menial things on it, even if you don’t get anything big accomplished, you can look at all the things you crossed off and feel good about the day. LOL!

  2. • dust out entertainment center
    • contemplate how to reorg the entertainment center w/ the consoles and such
I need to do the same. I already cleaned out *behind* the entertainment center, for fear the dust bunnies would attack the Dish guy tomorrow, but the inside is equally appalling.
I love making lists. As Orbie said, even if it’s menial stuff, at least you can see that you did SOMETHING… and sometimes I wonder. O.o

      1. Woah.. that’s awesome!
I need to sort my DVDs, too – they’re on a bookcase instead of the EC. Our EC is just a tad bigger than the TV, with storage underneath for the DVD player, video game consoles, and games. One of the problems with this house is, we have a lot of short, angled walls, with no room for long pieces of furniture. :\
