That’s what you get when they’re doing maintenance on the server.
Last post in lj maintenance was Sept 30. Nothing on the status page. Scheduled maintenance should be in the wee hours, and emergency maintenance should be at least on the status page.
And actually, this was happening yesterday too, with the “style dying” message.
Oh well.
