1) Total number of books owned? At an extremely rough guesstimate, it's probably over 1500. One of these days, they will get cataloged, and some maybe even appraised. Mouse is fixed, and I think even my palm is fixed. And oooooh the dashboard is nifty. I'm using the LJ widget now! I think has beaten Samba into submission, but I'm not sure.
Hrmph. It's pretty, and perhaps peppier (dunno as I've been using it for about 7 and a half minutes now) but it broke my mouse. And my palm. The jury's still out about Mail, also. Judging from the swearing going on across the room, the Samba share is not cooperating, either. NetNewsWire, Firefox, Xjournal, Adium all seem fine. Widgets are nifty. I dunno, I think I'll go watch more Babylon 5 and play with this later.

Well, my laptop is back! After a whole week without her, I’d almost completely forgotten how to use her. But, it’s all coming back now. I’m posting this with MarsEdit – I’m not sure if I completely like it. It’s really more for posting links from other programs. I think. Gaz is home, all is well. She had her logic board replaced. So after the debacle last year, we decided not to go to Scarborough for our anniversary this year. San Antonio has been on our List for quite a while now, and we hadn't yet been, so we drove down there Friday afternoon. We chose the Menger Hotel because wanted to stay in a haunted hotel. My laptop broke. I was using it this morning, I put it to sleep as always, and when I got home from work it was not asleep – it was off. The power cord was in, but it was not glowing as it should be. The battery claims it has a full charge, but the laptop will not turn on. Ugh. I've got a very bad feeling about this. I'm going to bed.
