Also today, I picked up my fish! The tank has been sitting for almost a week, so it was time to pick up the occupant. He's a pretty red betta, with blue undertones. I'm trying to think of a good name for him. thinks we should call him Moe, but I think that's too obvious. I'm sorta leaning towards Socrates, and I don't know why. It just came into my head the other day. Hey, I know – a poll! Aww, he looks so sad in his little tiny cup… Getting a chance to stretch his fins… Blurry close up…

Dinner tonight
So tonight I 'sperimented a little with dinner. In the community I saw someone else's experiment and modified it a smidge. It turned out pretty good! I took an 8 oz or so lean pork loin (we get 'em in bulk at costco, I (heart) my vacuum sealer) and sliced it in half, then cut it in strips. Heated a tablespoon or so of olive oil, then started browning the pork. Dumped in some minced garlic, chopped onions, and about a teaspoon of rosemary. Cooked that for a while until the pork was pretty much done. Then I mixed some…

Well, I should think not!
A staff member from the Forest Safari Park of Shenyang, capital city of Liaoning, said that it was no easy job to dye monkeys, for they were not “co-operative”.

Movies…
I just love the movie A Knight's Tale. Paul Bettany is just yummy. So's Heath Ledger, for that matter.

Yay!
Finally got a list of OB/GYN's that have been Essure trained. Now to figure out how much (if any) insurance will cover and to get past my “I hate doctors” issue. I'm tired of being the only one in the house who isn't fixed.

Huh – interesting.
Do you use your left or right hemisphere more? Your Brain Usage Profile Auditory : 33% Visual : 66% Left : 64% Right : 35% You are somewhat left-hemisphere dominant and show a preference for visual learning, although not extreme in either characteristic. Your visual preference, though, has you seeking stimulation and multiple data. Such an outlook can overwhelm structure and logic and create an almost continuous state of uncertainty and agitation.…

I still had flex points left, but the way I was using them wasn't optimal for me. Plus, I didn't drink nearly enough water, nor did I eat breakfast. :-/ I did manage to go for a short walk today. Now let's see if I can keep that up, and increase it, shall we? Okayfine – I know what I need to do, of course. Yet another re-dedication and move…

Oh yah
Friday at lunch I got to meet and Mark L. (from alt.support.childfree)! It was fun meeting them both – she's from my old stomping grounds, and it was long past time to meet Mark, as he actually lives here in Austin. Lunch was good – at a Thai place and I have wanted to try but never got around to finding it. In other news, I'm again woefully behind in responding to comments and such. I'm also way behind on getting my #$%&^ computer backed up. I have no excuse. So there.
