    Regarding the 101 books…

    I think I'll print out that list and read at least a few. I read *constantly* – so it's about time I get more depth, eh? But if the list of 101 great books doesn't do it for ya, you should try this list of banned books. Even better, start with this – simply a must read. :)

    I pledge allegiance…

    So I run a discussion list called NoRules. I don't really “own” the list – no one does. It just is. But I provide the list serve for it because I got sick of reply-to-all hassles.     Woke up this morning way too early, around 5 am. Found my pc sprawled on the floor, pennies on its eyes, chalk outline around its body. It's dead, Jim. No idea why right now. But I think I'm going to go back to bed. It's way too early for this.

    Preacher says he was dragged, beat up after sermon LOXLEY, Ala. – Authorities are investigating the alleged beating of a preacher by funeral mourners who didn't like his blunt eulogy. Glynis Bethel tells the Associated Press that her husband, Pastor Orlando Bethel, was attacked during a June 14 funeral and dragged out of the church. That's because Bethel told mourners the deceased was in hell and that they were headed the same way. The dead man was Mrs. Bethel's uncle.
