10:26 am – What is the point of being a “low water use facility” when all it means is that you have to flush the toilets twice every time?
And don't get me started about the necessity of posting a flyer in every stall with a “reminder to flush”.
11:25 am – Employment really is a Good ThingTM! Rob has a job now too, and it seems like something he can really get into. A happy husband is also a very Good ThingTM.
I know that I feel a lot better, certainly a lot less depressed. Hopefully I can now find the motivation to get the house in order. It's embarrassing, yet it's so hard to get past my apathy, which just leads to more self-loathing.
3:03 pm – I feel guilty twiddling my thumbs here at work. But there's truly nothing I can do right now. I've contacted everyone on my list – multiple times – and there's nothing I can do until they call me back. I guess that's a peril of a temp job.
So I've got my Palm with AvantGo and Mobipocket. That gives me news and selected web pages, including my LJ Friends page (although I can't get to comments). I've got 4 books loaded, and the Constitution. I've got a chunk of three Usenet groups. I've got Backgammon, Cribbage, Tetris, and Yahtzee. Plus it finally dawned on me to bring a tech book – I chose “DHTML & CSS”.
5:00 pm – Yay!!! I get to go home!
6:12 pm – Home and on my pc. Note to self: Multiple Palm LJ posts on one sync doesn't quite work right.
