According to Dragonmount, Jordan's progressing well on Book 11: “Book Eleven is coming along nicely, though I still don't have a title for it. That usually comes late in the writing. I am still hoping to finish in two more books, counting this one. In any event, there will be a few things resolved in the eleventh book.” Thank god. An end in sight….

And more books….
Book 13 – Creature Discomforts – Susan Conant (finished 02/16/2004) When I was at the library picking up the February selection for , I picked up three of Susan Conant's “Dog Lover's Mysteries”. They're fun, quick reads, packed with twists and dog training trivia and tips. I haven't read all of her books, but those I have, I've liked. Book 14 – The Wicked Flea – Susan Conant (finished 02/17/2004) Another “Dog Lover's Mystery”. These don't have to be read in order, but there is continuity you'll appreciate if you do. The first one is “A New Leash on Death”.…

This day in History
Swiped from If you've had LJ for over a year, look back to one year ago today and link back to and quote from your entries of that day. If you have more than one year, go back for the same day for each past year and quote for them as well. If you've had LJ for under a year, quote from the first month you had LJ and then halfway through the time you've had it. Had to take the nearest day, 'cause except for a special effort this past January, I don't post every day. :) 03/01/2003 YAY!!!!!!!!!…

So, I'm off to a lovely start this week, eh? I have kept track of points though, and I'm pretty sure I'm in line there, but still it's annoying that I didn't. There was a post in the WW online forum (on http://www.weightwatchers.com) that asked members who've reached Lifetime (members who have reached their goal weight, have gone through a maintenance period and, theoretically, keep the weight off.) if they still…

Couples Shy Away From 9/11 Wedding Date
Couples Shy Away From 9/11 Wedding Date Many couples are reluctant to get married on Sept. 11, said Sue Berning, director of catering at Eagle Ridge Inn & Resort in Galena, Ill., three hours west of Chicago. “I'll say, well, I do have Sept. 11 open, and they say 'Yeah, so does everybody else,'” Berning said. “They don't want to be rejoicing on that day when the country is mourning.” Pfui. I don't think I'd care. Horrible things happen every single day of the year – what's the difference? Besides that, according to the article, many places are offering discounts…

Dinner tonight
I'm going to saute some onions, garlic and mushrooms, then add them to some jar spaghetti sauce and simmer for a while. When the spaghetti and sauce are done, I'm going to saute the scallops I bought last night, and add them to my portion of the sauce – won't eat them, so more for me!
