More books…

Book 21 – I, Robot – Issac Asimov (read in chunks on my Palm at odd moments, finished 03/22/2004)

Classic science fiction from one of the masters, this book of short stories is always a fun read.

Book 22 – Angels & Demons – Dan Brown (finished 03/23/2004)

This has the same protagonist as The DaVinci Code and is much better. This time, the symbologist is unravelling a plot involving a murdered scientist, the Illuminati, and the Vatican itself. I enjoyed it immensely.

Book 23 – Debt Of Bones – Terry Goodkind (finished 03/26/2004)

This book is a prequel to the Sword of Truth series. At only 128 pages, with large type and wide margins this is really a short story rather than a novel – I read it in at most 30 minutes. It was a good story, revolving around Zedd and the creation of the Boundaries, but didn't tell us that much more than was mentioned in the main story line. As prequels go, New Spring (Wheel of Time) was much more satisfying.

Book 24 – The Magus – John Fowles (finished 03/27/2004) (, March & April)

Aside from Tolkein, this is the first challenging book I've read all year. I can't actually say that I liked the book – but I was compelled to keep reading. It was truly fascinating. I'm sure that it will keep me thinking for a while. I found it was necessary to keep a dictionary at hand – which is very unusual for me. I could also have done well with a French, German, Greek, and Latin dictionary – which just speaks volumes about the differences between education in the 30's and 40's as compared to today.

All in all, a thought-provoking worthwhile read. Now, if I can just decide what it meant.
