No wonder I'm cold! It is time for warm fuzzy socks and a warm fuzzy man. You may hear the shriek when I first get my feet warmed up.

What I read over summer vacation ^W^W the past year…
Well. So much for resolutions. I'm starting my 63rd book this evening; last year about this time I was at 116. I noticed I re-read more than I thought I had too. Hmm. Guardian Angel – Paretsky, Sara 005. Feed – Anderson, M.T. 006. Cat Who Talked Turkey, The – Braun, Lilian Jackson 007. Bright Messengers – Lee, Gentry 008. Faraday's Orphans – Wood,…

Squirrel?
Today, we picked up Charlie & the Chocolate Factory. I love the 1971 Willy Wonka, but this version of it is fantastic. So true to the book, as well. Item the first: Jake loves to chase squirrels in the back yard. Never even comes close to them, and always overshoots the tree they scamper up, but boy, does he love to try. Item the second: Jake is a very smart dog. He knows many words and phrases. “Walk”. “Last Call” (his last time out for the night and we really mean it). “Pocky” (don't ask). Among these words and phrases…

Three hours of sleep will do that to you.
So I just woke up from an odd dream. I dreamed was teaching me to throw hand grenades at a dixie cup1. Then I was reading his journal entry about giving a facelift to a local octogenarian, but I woke up before I could click the link. 1Well, it was a large dixie cup.

Swiped from Chances are people you don't even know are being introduced to your journal every day, either randomly or through someone else. King Edward I You scored 70 Wisdom, 81 Tactics, 52 Guts, and 48 Ruthlessness! Or rather, King Edward the Longshanks if you've seen Braveheart. You, like Edward, are incredibly smart and shrewd, but you win at any costs…. William Wallace died at his hands after a fierce Scottish rebellion against his reign. Despite his reputation though, Longshanks had the best interests of his people at heart. But God help you if you got on his bad side. My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender: You scored higher than 78% on Unorthodox You…

Teh Internets
If there is at least one person in your life whom you consider a close friend, and whom you would not have met without the internet, post this sentence in your journal. So, yeah – I guess ought to count as a “close friend”! I met Rob in Dallas, through a Usenet newsgroup called dfw.singles. I wouldn't have been in Dallas if I hadn't have moved there because of a guy I met on the 'net. I wouldn't have been on Usenet if it hadn't have been for that same guy. On a related note, it's obvious that I'm warped…
