This afternoon I took some depressing before pictures. Here's to the fabulous after pictures I will be taking! The theory is to take those same pictures every month for some hopefully visual motivation. I took a full body shot front and profile dressed in jeans and a tshirt, and dressed only in underwear. Of course, the underwear ones will NOT ever be posted. Egads. Don't worry, this journal is NOT going to devolve into a naval-gazing, food-obsessed sludge. It'll be just as sporadic and random as always!

I joined Weight Watchers yesterday. It's worked for me before, but I let myself get sidelined. I think now I'm ready for it. I really hope so – I'm tired of always hurting. I make some bad choices in what I eat, but my real problem is portion size. If the only thing I do is correct portion sizes and no non-diet soda I'm yards ahead. So keep your fingers crossed for me.
