Life is good… :)

TurkeyDay was really nice. The house looked decent, and it was really nice having people over. Peggy brought over the stuff to make creme brulee and it was fantastic. My pumpkin pie experiment turned out pretty good – definitely not bad for 6 points a slice. The turkey was fabulous, and we sent everyone home with leftovers. I took a picture of the table before, but I completely forgot to take pictures of it loaded up! Silly Jen.

The big surprise of the night was that Mai-Lyn was sociable, and Max took off for corners unknown. Poor little guy apparently doesn't like strangers.

On the weight-loss front I'm still hanging in there. The weekly weigh-ins keep going plus a little, minus a little. Plus a little, minus a little. And so on and so on and so on…. Blah. It's becoming painfully obvious I need to get more serious about food, and even…. sob… shudder… whine… start exercising. Fine. So I bought my own personal trainer! Of course, then we had to go get the Xbox we've been waffling on…

This “game” is really, really cool. If you want a personalized, varied workout, this thing rocks Add in some DDR, and actually walking the poor dog and I should be set. ::snort::

Oh yeah! This weekend I also actually bought new jeans. In size 22. That fit! That was certainly a great boost – dropping two sizes and getting out of those huge jeans that were looking horrible. I think my motivation level got a bit of a boost, so hopefully that'll help.

Last but not least – I'm doing cards again this year. Can't help it; I like sending 'em and I like getting 'em. So if you want a card from yours truly in Austin, fill out the address dohickey below! Don't worry, I don't have time to stalk these days. :)

  1. Hey hey! Drop me at line at hillarygayle@gmail.com, and send along your addy for me to mail Christmas cards to, as well!
Congrats on dropping sizes; I KNOW how good that feels. I was in a 14, but I’m back to 16 again. It SUCKS to go back up a size. >_< I'm checking out the Personal Trainer game on your recommendation, and I'm asking for the DDR for Xbox for Christmas, as well. ^_^ Already have it for the PS2, but might as well round out my collection, yesh?

  2. Giving Cards
I filled it out, but you don’t have to.
I like sending cards as well. It’s really nice. I have to say though, it’s much more gratifying to receive cards in return rather than just sending them into the void. I have some good ones as well. If you’d like a card back, feel free to e-mail me at mayan80@yahoo.com
Congratulations on your drop in size. It must feel good. I’m interested how the personal trainer program turns out.

So far, the xbox thingie is really cool. The workouts are challenging, and varied, just as promised.
I’ll post about it as time goes on I’m sure. LOL
And yes! Receiving cards is fun. Expect an email from me shortly. ;)
