    Holidays

Did some preliminary carshopping today. Many thanks to those who gave us suggestions – we're getting closer to knowing what we don't want. Hopefully what we do want will become clearer soon. Also hopefully we'll hear from the insurance adjuster tomorrow. We got our tree up today! Then we discovered one very large, heavy, and furry ornament in it. He's so damn cute I couldn't bring myself to yell at him. Yet. Maybe we won't get the Xmas decorations up after all. :-/ I also got my xmas cards done today! Yay! Hopefully most of the addresses are still good.…

    Game Review!

OK. So like, I've been “playing” Yourself!Fitness for two weeks now – which is 10 workouts. I love this thing! Maya is great – she looks and moves pretty good which makes it fairly easy to follow along even for a klutz like me. Her voice is really nice too – soothing and encouraging, not shrill and grating like the Texas women at my WW meetings. Every so often during the workout she asks how you're doing, and you tell her that you can't keep up, are working hard, or no sweat. She then adjusts the pace and difficulty. She'll…

    What are we doing again?

So we left the house today to talk to the bank about a car loan, and ended up refinancing the house. Let's focus here, people! Speaking of focus – Yesterday morning when we went to get a rental car the only thing they had was a Chevy Tahoe. Oh. My. God. but that thing is huge! I drove it yesterday, but I knew there was no friggin' way I was going to be able to maneuver that behemoth on a car dealership lot. We went back today, and now we're driving a cute little Ford Focus. It's cute, and drives…

The Great T-Shirt Experiment of 2004 is now over!

So for the past 2 months or so, I have not washed any of my t-shirts. I have worn them, and tossed them into a designated laundry hamper. This was an effort to force me to go through my t-shirt drawers and hopefully identify shirts I don't really like or want, as well as to discover t-shirts that I'm able to wear again. The results? 28 shirts to be donated to goodwill, 2 to be bequeathed to (his drawer, his problem) and 35 to be tucked into one t-shirt drawer. Also, a boat load of laundry done this weekend.

    Hmm

O Holy Night is about the only song in which I actually like sopranos. My favorite Xmas song EVER is Carol of the Bells. I've got at least 3 or 4 versions of it, and I'm always looking for more. /end xmas randomness. Get to work on the damn desk, Jen.

    Life is good… :)

TurkeyDay was really nice. The house looked decent, and it was really nice having people over. Peggy brought over the stuff to make creme brulee and it was fantastic. My pumpkin pie experiment turned out pretty good – definitely not bad for 6 points a slice. The turkey was fabulous, and we sent everyone home with leftovers. I took a picture of the table before, but I completely forgot to take pictures of it loaded up! Silly Jen. The big surprise of the night was that Mai-Lyn was sociable, and Max took off for corners unknown. Poor little guy apparently…
