<snork> I attempted to make the following tweet: “LiveJournal down until 2pm – probably longer for me due to TimeWarner’s notorious name server issues.” … only to get this message: Twitter is currently down for database maintenance. LiveJournal AND Twitter down at the same time? COINCIDENCE?? I think NOT!

Good News: Got 100 on my government test Bad News: I don’t feel that good about my AmLit test today. Good News: At least I wrote something on each question. Bad News: It may or may not have been related to the question. Good News: Animal Crossing: City Folk is a lot of fun! Bad News: Where does the time go???

Today was the release date for Animal Crossing: City Folk for Nintendo Wii. Naturally I went out and snagged it as soon as possible! It’s pretty much the same as AC:WW, which was pretty much the same as AC gamecube. If you weren’t obsessed with Wild World, I don’t know that City Folk will interest you much. There’s the same visiting towns that WW had, though I have not yet done that yet. You can send mail to other people’s towns without actually having to be in that town at the time, which is nice. You can also send mail…

Today is Saturday. We need to go to Costco, Petsmart, and pick up a prescription at the vet, but seriously, I don’t feel like leaving the house. It’s windy and it makes me feel like the best thing to do is snuggle up under a blanket and play video games. So, a compromise. :D Today I’m gonna do laundry and study for my American Lit test that’s on Monday, and vegetate as much as possible. Tomorrow, Costco, Petsmart, and GameStop to pick up Animal Crossing City Folk. sqlrob had better get in as much Fallout 3 as he can today,…

A positive aspect of the Bush legacy The international community now has a potent new motivating tool to dissuade world leaders from engaging in tyranny and aggression — tell them they’ll be like George Bush if they do it: Nicolas Sarkozy saved the President of Georgia from being hanged “by the balls” — a threat made last summer by Vladimir Putin, according to an account that emerged yesterday from the Elysee Palace. . . . The Russian seemed unconcerned by international reaction. “I am going to hang Saakashvili by the balls,” Mr Putin declared. Mr Sarkozy thought he had misheard.…

11:51 am Well, I just finished my Government test. I’m fairly pleased, I think I was as ready for it as possible, considering my… tendencies. The multiple guess was a piece of cake, as usual, and the short answer (11 fairly detailed questions, omit one) weren’t too bad. I know I lost a point or two on one – I couldn’t for the life of me remember a current case or topic that’s on the Supreme’s docket – but other than that I think I did all right. I couldn’t skip that particular question, because there was another question I…

Well, tomorrow’s my third government exam. I should do well, but I’m still a bit… worried isn’t exactly the word. Maybe anxious is closer. Either way, I must do really well on it, or else. Blah. Still kicking myself. Originally published at Jen’s Corner. You can comment here or there.

School has been going well for me. I really enjoy it, and I look forward to taking more classes. Well, except maybe for the Speech requirement. So far I’ve got a 4.0, but alas, that will change this term. The best grade I can hope for in my U.S. Government (yeah, go figure) class is a B. I was incredibly stupid, and didn’t start my paper until it was much too late, so it was nowhere near complete when it had to be handed in. Yeah. Believe me, I’m kicking myself. Oh well. Onward, and all that. Not sure what…
