Day 156 – 10%! Keychain time – woohoo!

Weigh in time:

Starting weight: 291.8 lbs
Last week: 263.0 lbs
This week: 260.8 lbs
Loss this week: 2.2 lbs
Total loss: 31.0 lbs
Loss rate: 1.39 lbs/week

yay!

So now I've dropped (more than) 10% of my original bodyweight. I haven't (yet) begun any “real” (i.e. regular) exercise. What's different?

– My (undiagnosed) IBS or whatever is not nearly as frequent or as horrible. I attribute this to the major decrease in grease consumption.

– I can walk up two flights of stairs at a normal pace without wheezing and wanting to die. I'm still out of breath, but it's not painful.

– I can put my shoes on with my pants buttoned! No gasping or straining.

– I'm not telling my favorite one. :)

– Overall I feel much better. Not as tired, not as yucky as I did.

– My wedding and engagement rings aren't so tight anymore. I can put them on w/out needing to resort to hand lotion now.

– My jeans (most of them) are much looser. I probably could fit into a size smaller. I hate clothes shopping, so I'm not going to yet.

– Sometimes I think I can see a difference, but mostly I can't. I'm relying on the way I feel right now.

To do this week: Need to put together our weight machine. I won't say how long it's been in pieces on the floor in our spare bedroom – let's just say it's been there a while. But now I need to follow through on my promise to start some sort of regular exercise now that I've made my 10% goal. That means I need to go for a walk this evening! Wonder if I can make that stupid pedometer work.
